Chincoteague Building Project - The Shop

First thing was to dig holes, set cardboard cylinders and pour concrete into the cylinders, making pilings.

The next step was to lay down a pressure treated plate and a band board to form the floor.

This shows the floor joists in place.

So does this.

Then we nailed thin plywood on the bottom of the floor joists and laid insulation on top of it. This shows Tyler nailing the hard way.

After we laid the tongue and groove deck, we laid out and nailed together the first wall which is laying on the deck in this picture.

Then we stand the wall up using only brute strength.

This is the first two walls standing.

This shows Tyler and Ed adjusting a wall after they have stood it up.

This is a closeup of the building when all four stud walls are up.
